What payment methods do you use? How to pay for an order?
When placing an order online, you can pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or Paypal.
If you prefer to pay by check or money order from the United States, please contact customer service. We can accept bank transfers from our international clients. Please contact support for more information. Note: We will only process tests after receiving full payment.
Can I change my test before sending it to the lab?
Yes. We can help you change your order before the test arrives at the lab.
As a rule, after passing the test to the laboratory, we cannot return the money. All refunds are at the discretion of Family Tree DNA. Any refund may take three to five business days to process. You can read more about our Returns Policy here.
Can I pay for the kit and send it to another person (third-party billing)?
Can I pay for an upgrade or an additional test on someone else’s KIT FamilyTreeDNA?
Note: The person may change their mind and your access to their account may be blocked. They will need to compensate other parties for any testing before we can grant their request.
